World Tea Party
(Spring Festival)A total of 12 tea parties with participation by attendees were held at two venues, and there were presentations on tea-drinking customs in Japan and other countries around the world, as well as many different ways to enjoy tea, such as edible tea.

(Autumn Festival)There were 24 tea parties with participation by attendees, including introductions to teas from around the globe, the World Green Tea Contest gold prize-winning Doke tea, and a matcha tea ceremony performed by children.

In addition to sales and tasting of 17 varieties of new tea from 13 production areas in Shizuoka Prefecture, 20 participating companies held exhibitions and sales of tea-related products and produce.

122 companies from Japan, Sri Lanka, India, South Korea, China, Taiwan, and other countries held tastings, exhibitions, and sales of a rich variety of teas and related products.

World Green Tea Conference 2016
Tea experts from around the globe were invited to discuss a wide range of subjects, including branding and promotion, based on the theme “Strategies for Expanding the International Green Tea Market.”

World Green Tea Contest 2016
Prizes were awarded to 33 teas selected from 47 teas entered from Japan and 41 teas entered from overseas, with the judging revolving around novel products that evoked a sense of the future of tea.

World Tea Party
(Spring Festival)There were presentation on tea-drinking customs and ways of enjoying tea around the world, including a tea ceremony mingling Japanese, Chinese, and Korean customs, and tea ceremonies featuring rare Ceylon tea and fermented Pu’er tea.

(Autumn Festival)16 eclectic tea parties were held, including tea ceremonies by schools associated with the Tea Ceremony Federation of Shizuoka Prefecture, and parties for enjoying authentic Taiwanese tea and English and German black tea.

In addition to tasting and sales of 24 varieties of new tea from 16 production areas in Shizuoka Prefecture, there were also hand massages using natural green tea aromatic oils, and a screening of a film on the history of tea.

World Tea Trade Fair
129 foreign and domestic companies participated. In addition to tastings, exhibitions, and sales of new tea and tea-related products, buyers from eight overseas companies were invited to hold business talks on tea exports as well.

People involved in the tea industry around the globe were invited to share information on the current state of the international green tea market, and explored strategies to turn Japanese green tea into a global trend.

We called for entries of teas which propose novel and highly marketable products to stimulate new demand. Prizes were awarded to 32 teas selected from the 99 tea products entered from both Japan and abroad.

World Tea Party
There were 18 tea ceremonies, each brimming with its own unique character, including traditional Okinawan bukubuku tea, Moroccan mint tea, and Indian chai, as well as 11 stage performances.

World Tea Trade Fair
There were sales and business discussions for teas produced in Shizuoka Prefecture, as well as teas, tea utensils, and tea-related products from around the globe, allowing visitors to experience teas from all over world, and publicizing the appeal and culture of their tea. Business discussions on tea exports to the USA were also held.

World Green Tea Conference 2010
Experts and researchers from around the world presented the history of tea and tea culture in their countries, and there was discussion and proposals regarding the tasks necessary to popularize green tea.

World Green Tea Contest 2010
Of the 89 foreign and domestic teas entered in the contest, 31 were awarded prizes, including 9 gold prize winners. The 20 prize winners who attended received a commendatory plaque from Shizuoka Prefectural Governor Heita Kawakatsu.

“My Style” World Tea Party
We recruited people who wished to hold a tea party of their own style. A variety of tea ceremonies were demonstrated by 20 individuals and groups, including the Baisao-style tea party.

World Tea Trade Fair
Business discussions on tea and tea-related products were held, and around 2,000 industry people came to the fair. Events such as seminars on the tea situation overseas were also held.

World Green Tea Conference
Representatives of tea industry groups and others from the world’s green tea producing and consuming countries held a discussion based on the festival theme, and released a joint declaration.

World Green Tea Contest 2007
There was an exhibition of the 219 foreign and domestic teas entered in this contest exclusively for green teas made from tea leaves, and there was a bidding session and auction for the 117 prize-winning teas.

Tea producing areas in Shizuoka Prefecture, tea-related public facilities, and monuments, etc., were introduced through high-definition video. A tea quiz using computers was also popular with elementary school students.

A beauty class was held about soap-making using tea and cosmetics made with tea, attracting many attendees, especially women.

2001 World Tea Research Conference
586 researchers from 19 countries presented the latest research findings, with 21 programs covering the themes of “History and Culture,” “Production,” “Benefits,” and “Distribution and Consumption.”
