219teas which were made form Camellia sinsensis were presented for this contest from around the world.

Shizuoka "CHA-ICHIBA" or Shizuoka Tea Market in Shizuoka city
7 judges who represented Japan,China and Korea examined the entries carefully, with the result that 20 teas won Grand Gold Prize, 32 teas won Gold Prize, and 65 teas won Silver Prize.
The organizer took an original judging style which was based on Japanese and Chinese style. The teas were judged on five criteria- appearance(25%), fragrance(30%), taste(30%), coloration(10%), and leaf quality(5%).
