A fresh feeling was evoked in the tea rooms through three tea ceremony styles. Tables were set up according to the "shin-gyo-soh"(真・行・草), or "formal/semi-formal/informal"aesthetics, and pottery such as Herend(Hungary), Wedgwood(England) and Minton(England) were exhibited around there.
- Shin(真)・・・Ms. Fumi Kimura(Dining Environment Producer) presented formal style by Black tea, semi-formal style by Chinese tea, and informal style by Sen-cha. Traditionaltea utensils from Shizuoka were also used.
- Gyou(行)・・・Shimoo Design Office(craft designer) presented "Ryureijyuku" or an exhibitionTea Table on the stage. Tea room which is not formal but not too casual was produced.This "Ryureijyuku" was open to utilization in various ways and some seminarswere held every day.
- Soh(草)・・・Mr. Kengo Kuma(architect) designed "Fuan" or special teahouse which representeda traditional teahouse with a new concept. And Mr. Soshin Kimura(Tea Ceremony Specialist) directed a display of a kettle which was iron pot made by a skillfu lworkman and also a display of modern tea utensils which would be loved by tea mastersin the old days.
